I went off of work on December 10th 2019. I just could not handle the pain anymore. I couldn't sit, I could lay down, I could stand for any longer than 10 minutes. In December of 2020, I was finally diagnosed with Spondylolisthesis with Pars Defect at the L5-S1 vertebrae. August of 2021 I was scheduled for a TLIF but the insurance company would not pay for it since I smoked cigarettes. The Neurosurgeon who I was seeing moved to North Carolina shortly thereafter. Fast forward to December of 2023, the pain I was in had gotten dramatically worse. This time instead of having just sciatica and lower back pain, I had developed Neuropathy in both of my feet. After another MRI, it was revealed that I still had Spondylolisthesis but with bilateral Pars Defect this time, as well has having severe Bilateral Foraminal Narrowing at the L5- S1 vertebrae. My PCP referred me to a Neurologist named Dr. Gasparotto out of Saginaw. He put me on every nerve medication known to man and still nothing worked. This past June, Dr. Gasparotto and I decided it was time to see what a Neurosurgeon thoughts were. I had already started reading reviews of Neurosurgeons beforehand and I asked to be referred to Dr. Kremer. AND I AM SO GLAD I DID!!!! I first seen Dr. Kremer the first week of July. The first thing he asked me was, "Louie, why are you here???" I told him the previous Neurosurgeon had recommended with a TLIF. Dr. Kremer said he would absolutely agree with that and went on to explain why I had no choice but to have the surgery. So this past Wednesday, August 7th, I went in an had the TLIF surgery. All I can say is WOW!!!! I don't know why I didn't have the procedure done earlier!!! I've had minimal pain, just one bad night. I quit taking the prescribed pain medication yesterday. Instead of walking the 45 minutes a day that Dr. Kremer suggested, I'm walking 2 hours a day. The pain was SO MUCH WORSE BEFORE SURGERY!!! The thing is, Dr. Kremer explained to me what to expect after surgery, like the bruising I'm gonna see, also Day 3 to 5 being the most painful, and the back spasms. Like I wrote earlier, the pain has been minimal. And my back is bruised but it doesn't hurt. I know I'm only Day 5 post-surgery but if the rest of my recovery is like this, I'll be back to doing things I love sooner than later! Dr. Kremer is a GIFTED Neurosurgeon! I am so very thankful to have him as my doctor! SO VERY THANKFUL!!!Tony Smith2024-08-02Before Dr Michael Kremer was willing to get into the Muddy Waters of all my complicated medical issues, I had no quality of life! My medical condition was complicated because there were so many doctors and so much input that it was actually what he calls muddy waters. I thank him for taking the chance because he has saved my life in my opinion. I had no quality of life before, and the chance he took was of being sued by frivolous lawsuits which I can understand that. The quality of MRIs that he had to work with were absolutely awful yet when he did the surgery on me he did much more than what was required of a tlif surgery! I have no issues putting my life in his hands I trust him. Thank you God for Dr Kremer. I am a US veteran and would recommend all veterans who need his help to go see him.. I'm 55 and seen many doctors, and he's number one!Patricia Raab2024-01-03Dr. Kremer is awesome! Tyler, his PA, informative, caring and easy to talk to. The staff, wonderful!!Joe2023-09-02Dr. Kremer was refreshingly straight forward, and knowledgeable. He encouraged me to get a second opinion but after a half hour conversation about my condition I was sure I wouldn’t need one. His quick brilliant grasp of my multiple issues was impressive. The two people I know that he operated on couldn’t say enough about the procedure he preformed it was not the same as their first Surgeons choice but their outcomes were excellent with much less recovery time. I am giving him a five star review he may deserve a six.David Goodfellow2023-06-22Dr. Kremer is an excellent surgeon. He diagnosed the issues in my lower back and came up with a plan of action. I am only 4 weeks post surgery and already feeling 100 per cent better. I can't believe the difference so soon. Also his assistant Tyler is quite knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions.Load more
